    VST delete whisker valve installation

    1999 225 ProMax
I plan on installing a whisker valve in the bleed return line. Do I have to run that line all the way back to the tank? My FPR will have a 3/8 in line returning to the tank, can I "T" into that with the small bleed line? Just trying to avoid running another "return" line back to the tank if I don't have to.

    Thanks,
    Erik

We set one up with the line returning to the tank.

I'm trying to decide rather or not to use one on my promax vst delete.

Any reason you decided to use one?

Reading a couple posts by Tony Brucato. The valve would stop crank case pressure from bleeding off above idle RPM. Crank case pressure equates to HP so no reason to let HP leak out. Even if it's a minimal amount of pressure your loosing in that tiny tube, if a 5 ounce part and an extra 20 minutes of my time can possibly make me one or two more HP then I'm game. I won't hurt nothing!

Mine is set up for the whisker valve and return line just because I happened to have a pile of hose and a whisker valve but if you could find any actual measurable difference using it or not I would be stupified. It's an 1/8" hose that is kinked in 10 places. There isn't much of anything running back through that hose.

You can Prolly control the puddle just as well with a steam wheel if you're that worried about it for racing. More than likely just something to tinker with while in the garage toasting totties.
