V4 Comp Pro Drag
How many V4 guy's would be interested in trying to get a class in the 1/8 OutLaw class in ODBA.Same rules as ProDrag class making it a V4 ProDrag class.Boat length 14' to 16'.

That would be very cool. My boat is not good for drag racing but I would love to see what kind of setups turned out.

How about V-4's against 2.0 liters I would be a fun class and plenty of affordable parts

WELL, in the good ole days, the cubic inch of that block was within a narrow enough gap that it ran against the 2 liter Merc, I'm thinking 99 cu in vs 122 cubes. heck you guys make a decision, I could be interested. fun out
most overnite successes usually take at least 10 years

The Yamaha is 1.73 liters or 106 cubic inches.

I think its a great idea, more affordable for the average guy or some of the younger guys wanting to get started in racing. maybe we need to look at what killed the class last time and see if theres a way to keep it going. Im sure there is a way to make it work without pricing it out of park too. There's several guys running 3 cylinders and having a LOT of fun, that may want to step up to a faster boat.

I would bet the problem is that in the big scheme of things, the price difference is not much. The cost of the boat, equipment, getting to races, etc. is the same and the engines are not much different in price.
