Killer RC Outboard Tunnel Only Race

I know this should go in the RC thread but yeah its kinda slow over there-lol

Nov 1st and 2nd Dover Park Fl, The Brandon Model boaters will be hosting the 3rd Annual - Herb Stewart Memorial Shootout-
This is an all Outboard Tunnel Nitro event that has drawn over 100 boats and 40 racers from as far away as Australia for this years race
We have the premier site for tunnel racing in the country and this race grows larger and larger every year,
If anyone is interested in coming by to watch or hang out, say the word and we will make sure you enjoy the visit.
We got Go Fast Foley to run last year- but his gig is the weekend after this year -
We run a tri oval course and Le Mans starts in select classes- good times,

I am planning to be there. The tri oval is a blast. The lemans starts are also a lot of fun. I remember the first year there were 7 or 8 mod vps headed to the tri oval buoy on the start and it was entertaining to say the least

Somehow we have yet to crash on a LeMans start, unless of course you count that time you subbed your f/e boat under the rest of the field and kept going - lmao

Shawn is signed up as well as Zack, so I would think Rich will be there.
33 drivers and 98 boats so far, gonna be a good one.

I can proudly say I got the hole shot at the very first event we tried it at - lol
May not have been real pretty and it lasted about half a lap- but yeah

Would be good to have ya- Sat heats normally start mid morning and sunday will be done by 3-4 .

Not sure been good friends with the Junkers and use to run small boats a few years back. Matt

Tough tough tough today- Imagine running a full size Tunnel into a 25-30+ mph gusty swirling wind with a fixed trim all the way up
Then make it only 35 to 45 inches long that still runs 50mph +
You race the lake , not the guy next to you 9 times out of ten.
The Aussie boys, Kris Flynn and Brad Spencer are very fast as well as all the usual players to many to list.Final count was over 100 boats including no less than 2 IMPBA or NAMBA Hall of famers- to many US 1's and World Tunnel Champions to list.
Its gonna be cold as hell am , but the wind is supposed to lay down so we can actually USE that 70 perc Nitro
