Sledding RULES! And the new ones are freaking monsters! Stud the track and drag race the ice! Trail riding hitting the bars for a warm up..(even if ya sweat more in the suit trying to keep up the "pack", but its simple BS and cocktail time!) Simple chit house fun! When back Illinois, lower Fox Chain..(Pistakke? SP) we would do day rides the "Chain", then up the Fox River all the way to Wilmot ski hill!
And the sleds never "broke down" either as reliable as it comes! BUT? We always carried "Duct Tape", as when ya got stupid and rolled it showing off? There goes the plastic! "Tape it up and sled on"!
To me simple FASTAZZ "go karts on snow"!

And the best invention sleds? Electric hand warmers! Still the problem of a fogged up helmet shield needs fixing...(but maybe I if stop talking and that maybe solve that prob?

HA! The day I shut up, .."well zero plans that!"

Ride in the mountains and you will know why.lol
only one way to ride in 4' of fresh powder, thumb stuck to bar and hope you don't get your azz stuck. Nothing worse than trying to dig a stuck sled out at 9000' the air is way thin.

The answer Dave? Think it. Why thumb instead twist? Simple as we all seen many vids idiots on MC's that when the bike gets away from ya. Ya still got a hand on the twist grip and now its going to "WOT" as ya simple "leaving the bike" and (simple to "bale off" as done stupid that as the bike can go where it wants but.."rather it to the Doc bent metal it, than me saving it and "oh chit, major road rash the ER!
But a sled? With a thumb throttle rear and ya lost it? Natural reaction as being pulled back ya simple "grab that NOT throttle hand grip...why we BiPeds have that "opposing thumb" the hand fingers when "Holy Chit " hits. And the throttle is at back to idle!

Got your wrist cranked and stuff a drift, broke wrist. Thumb throtle can be adusted so you can hang on and still have control. Used to think your way, but after many miles on a sled would not have it any other way. Not like you have to change gears all done on its own.

Hey Jamie. Nice pictures of Stillwater and Beaver River. Can you believe the Norridgewock now has competition across the tracks. Hard to imagine with a total population of about 8 people in the whole town.

Lets not go there broken wrist as also me smashed foot. Chit house full slow healing bones there! OUCH! But thinking sleds now, do ya think a "micro switch" sleds that shuts off ignition when simple going over? Need to start again use the restart button as OK? Plus locks the track brake? Always thinking me... as love the freedom sledding as boating!..(no yellow lines to stay within?! )

And the "clutchless"..(gotta think "Comet" here!) Damn right as the variable drive keeps that 2s "on the pipe"
