Look at those now made compared then, 40 YEARS ago? Any sled is still fun to me! Ya guys making wanna go back east and.."Snoromp!" And I had a old helmet red color/full face (NO OPEN)/chin guard. DO IT, as hitting froze lake "ice heaves?...ya gonna "eat some handlerbars" as hit one at speed and me knocked off with a broken shield, saw the sled 20 feet in the air doing barrel rolls and ?..(more duct tape).

But I painted wrinkle orange the back half the helmet..(think Halloween here) and did black electrical tape a "weird Pumpkin Face"! Eyes, mouth etc. So when I looked at you, its me. When passed ya up?

"Damn "Pumpkin Head!" Lotta fun!

BUT let me say now, many people yearly killed on sleds. Mostly doing stupid but chit can happen. And gonna add one more thing that pisses me of.."saying" ? "Stay Safe"?

That means never get out of bed and have some fun as yer "safe there"!

My take? STAY VIGILANTE AND AWARE WHAT THE HELL YA DOING!

Simple me is..."Stay alert as at any second, things can go horrible wrong"

(damn wackos here! Have a great "Holiday" as to me "everyday is a holiday" anyway!

Hey Robby thats pretty funny. Mine was a 1980 and like you it was my first sled too. Had a lot of fun on it and like most Yamaha I couldn't kill it. Have a Merry Christmas budd.

It all depends on the conditions Greg. But were no slouches. Lets just go and don't worry about it. We wait for all the lost souls at every intersection. Let just go and have fun. I'm going up this weekend so I'll get a condition report up here as soon as I get back. We do need Raquette Lake or the tracks rideable to get out of Long Lake without having to trailer. There is one other way and that's the trail to Indian Lake and then Moose River Plains in to the Old Forge trail system. Real big loop to get to where the riding is its best. Ill keep you guys posted as to whats up there. In the mean time here are some Live Web cams to look at of some of the areas we frequent.

Quit trying to force the "skidoo" lifestyle on Bender...us Yamaha guys like our own rooms. just 'cause you guys share a tow rope doesn't mean y'all gotta share a bed...

You need to come to mountains and get stuck, then you will love the light weight of a good 2 stroke. Yammy makes a good motor but when stuck at 9000' I willl take a light 2 stroke sled any day.

Come on Eroshi Yamamamoto lets just get a sled and go A! I dont' care how many want to come. We can fit somehow. I got 5 bedrooms, 7 beds, 2 pullout couches, one couch thats not a pull out, a couple chairs that people have slept in a couple times, and plenty of carpeted floor. Just bring some sleeping bags, pillows, and some sleds and lets go. I can fit 9 sleds in the garage and I got 3 so the next 6 spots are first come first serve. Don't have to worry about leaving anything outside though, nobody takes anything that they don't bring back. Oh if Tres and Bender are insisting on the same room they can sleep outside on the front porch.
