X-2 that , and did you use Cab-o-sil with that witches brew for a thickening agent to make a putty to fill the holes at hand ?

I used 150 thick epoxy without any filler material. Epoxy has more of a learning curve than I thought. thankyou for all your responces.

An epoxy resin with cab-o-sil added to thicken it will make a good strong filler for the job. Also use a slightly dull drill bit next time. Bit may be cutting too aggressively, causing the filler to shatter.

Roy , making a putty from Cab o sil and resin is pretty common which can be used to fill in small holes , gaps , voids , and often used for for fillets which is a coved shaped application of thickened Epoxy that bridges an inside corner joint , etc , etc.

Pure epoxy is not good for that (as you found out). What I've found to work well is an approximately 50/50 mix of cabosil with milled fiber, add it to epoxy until it reaches a nice gooey consistency. The milled fiber will add a significant amount of strength and the cabosil thickens the mixture and keeps it from running.
