I would say that it is very much worth restoring to someone capable and appreciative. Looks like the skin is all there, you can build up from there.

the magnum I had 99 out of 100 people would not have paid a dime for it event to use it as firewood. When my wife and friends first saw it they thought I had gone over th edeep end and that Caddy was a scam artist.

the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I doubt I will ever get out all the $$ I put in it, but put a price tag on a well restored original set up 1969 Magnum Missile.

My thoughts exactly, I just graduated college and have very little funds. What I do have is some time and the abilities to fix this up. I've never had a tunnel home and its certainly something I want to experience after going in a friends glasstron.

Anyone have any thoughts on adding a little weight to the front or beefing up the transom while the boat is gutted?

In my opinion, i would never add weight in a permanent fashion to any boat. You want them as light as possible if you are going for speed. As far as beefing up transom , you should always make it as strong as possible especially if you're redoing it anyway.

Tom, if its a Rabco, and not a Missile, I think its polishing a turd. You have to really love it to spend what it will cost, and you're an exception to the rule- most folks can't finish these off as nicely as you did.

If it was a Missile, maybe, but Cadillac has better ones to start a project with, and you'll have a Missile, not a Rabco. Big difference in value, although a Rabco was a great boat, its not the original. (No offense to my bud Parker.)

If its a Rabco, a tremendous amount of work was put into cutting the front and making a flush lay-in for the foredeck panel.

Like I said Parker, no offense, but that model is not going to bring him as much money, just facts. There is one in FLL for sale for a couple years with 2.4 BP on it that is complete and in good shape and the guy has no buyers for it.

I don't think its a Rabco anyway, I think its a Missile- did you have the wood insert in the foredeck at any point? Its got a BS title as well, its says its a Donzi Magnum, and I know its not a Donzi, and who knows what the numbers are, so if he works it all the way through, and he's got it nice and perfect and the marine patrol stops him and takes his boat, what does he have?

I in no way meant that your boats were turds, that one needs so much its going to be a money pit. Like most boats anyway, but Caddy has better ones for a project.

Hi has the insert in front and none in back, but they could have been filled in. I'd hope he can show us a HIN so we can figure out what it is. You'd surely know the sequences for yours back then, right? And he says its a 1976, so that was when you had the molds working?
