Just bought a Magnum Missile, anyone know this one?
It was the one on eBay a month ago, burgundy one in Ames Iowa. Evinrude 200 on the back. Restored and in storage for 20+ years.

good luck with it. I had one many years ago when I lived on Long Island
sold it to a buddy who has it now in Florida
origibal owner was a dentist and ran it to his practice in manhattan from the north shore of Long Island
was called the Tooth Fairy
one of the boats that I owned that was most fun ....

HeavyDuty, Just curious, is the Gas Tank Filler Cap on the side of your Missile, or is it on the top corner of the motor well???
Magnum made a change in the design. Gas Tank Filler Cap on the side of the boat was the earlier style, and then on the top corner of the motor well was the later style.
A picture would be great if you have one.
Thanks!

I got to drive a white Missle in the mid 70's that had a Merc 135 then later had an in-line 150 that IMO was the right power for that hull.
This was here in Canada on Lake Simcoe, Ontario and I think that was the hull that was used to flip to make some lite-weight copies called Micon.
I would guess the one I drove was a late 60's / early 70's and I distinctly remember the filler being near the motor well.
It was originally owned by Paul Fingold.
When Merc V6's were used some bad things followed.
If I remember with the 135 it went low to mid 60's and with the 150 maybe 65 to 68mph, I don't think it would hit 70.

Sorry to be a pain in the asse interrupting intelligent conversation but I have to put in my four pennorth -----------the Torriggia and the Missile look identical to me----I bought mine in January 1965 from the Torrigia factory on Lake Como.
I had a '64 Mercury 1000 with a Rolla wheel, the most I ever saw from the Keller was 62 mph, I flipped that thing the full 360 degrees trying for more but that was it. Just telling you the way it was back then.
Still wonder which village Aranow went to------Como or Torriggia ?

The story around South Florida where these boats were made was that they were Schultz copies.

After some suggestions here and elsewhere, I'm looking to go with a 135 T.O.P. and re-label it with a Red Stripe decal pack for kicks.
I'm going out to look at the boat here in a bit and see where the fill is- I think fill is by the well, but didn't pay it too much attention.
Big as I am, I wouldn't mind that outside throttle set up, looks kinda of goofy, yet cool, at the same time. Need legroom, and shaking loose 3 or 4 more inches from the side would help me.
Have a buddy that was saying he had one with a 2.4 Bridgeport on it, and saw 95 on a radar gun. This is not what I'm after- comfortable and reasonably safe so my kid doesn't get killed in are. I'm happy if it gets up on plane and lasts without getting the transom sucked out on a sharp turn. 60 or so would be great. For now.
