Whoa! HS friend mine in the 60's ended up West Virgina. In his late 60's age rode a Turbo Busa. He was known to the kids?.."the old man". But he damn sure knew how to ride! I have a 1 hour DVD vid he sent me, and these guys are freaking CRAZY"? BS..as they were 50 years "skilled" on M/Cs in the lead. And on the "sweepers"? there? Ya see a sign flash past side, Speed limit 35? BS. The dude the rear had (a FZR), had the speedo and them in front..(5 total) in the vid way over a ton!. And they were knee dragging, sparks off the hard parts..(trust yer "stickeys!", and wear off those "chicken strips!") As the 100 mph wheelies? Just to cool!
I asked him after watching the vid. "Don't the cops mess with ya?" Said the dude the FZR filming?..IS A COP!
More in a bit another post here.."organ donor"...Last edited by Robby321; 09-24-2014 at 02:23 PM.

this is the up side from NC into VA, 2 hrs north of the Queen city, (Charolotte), 12 mile grade plus or minus. been there on july the 3rd and saw snow and freezing rain near the top, also in other months been blastin along at 60 mph 60 ft behind a truck and hit a fogbank and you couldn't see 2' infront of you. ( hence the song "foggy mountain breakdown" ). Belive me the down side going into Virginia has some left and rights that will scare the livin stuff out of you if your above your performance grade. fun out

okay, with 80,000 lbs coming down a 12 mile hill, you don't want to need to hit your brakes. notice the Werner truck smoking them, once they get hot, your done. they have had 85 car pileups on this stretch with many fatalities. rookies stay home.

Sorry here dude, but after riding 55 years now? Stupid will get ya killed fast, as thats anything life. Probably more people slip and crack there head open in a bathtub. But bike riding? I done it all, Motos, ice racing, road course, flat tracking. Always a helmet racing (as we are all going the same direction), but never on the many CC roads trips, and local did a "lid". Your head is not whats on it, but "in it". But in 1991, doing a month CC ride out Illinois to Wa State see my sis and mom. Dragged a helmet there, as a new law Wa only state needed.
And a ZERO fan of road needed helmets! Just pay attention! Do me..(all) a favor here. Have some one come up behind to "box yer ears" slowly approach. Yer ears will pick up the "some thing is behind me!")
Now try that with a helmet on!
And Ive lost MANY friends on MC's way to young. And ALL were killed..by a "left turn cager"
But one more on "Chic", the "old man"? Well, he passed in his sleep ay 67, on the couch after a ride, Moto GP on the tube still.
But PLEASE knock off the "organ donor" crap. Gotta live it first....or why bother to wake up "morning"?..if ya don't explore the "edge", life

I got away from bikes about 25 years ago because I could not trust my self on one , never got as crazy as those clips but I did my share of stupid things ... and got away with it, but I knew my time was going to come so I quit riding till three years ago, I started riding again with guys in their 20's on sport bikes that were doing endos, wheelies cutting up traffic, thank God my employee that hooked me up with that group move to Penn to work on fracking wells $$$ .
I want to ride the rest of my life (just turned 60) so I've slowed down ,just want to enjoy the ride not prove my self , thou it's hard sometimes when you have 160+hp between your legsWe have invented the world; WE see

My last bike bought 5 years ago. Still have my HD homemade frame up Drag Bike, a 73 Sporty motor. And my 1979 FSX chopper. Last was a Honda CRB1000F as had to do a "sportbike", after now 55+years riding. Think it was a 96? Freaking monster! And way more fast for my old ass. Sold it 2 years ago. I quit the road a year ago. The cell phone crap idiots. But "I still ride" here as live private HOA roads, about 5 miles. This old man now rides a Honda Minitrail 70, a Honda Spree, and my "rat scoot", 86 CH150...the marina runner! Riding is still "fun".."knees in the breeze"!
