ID:	318982The plugs that the seat bases will be bolted to. They will get a layer of glass on them. There will be some more put in where the back seat goes and the console goes.

Boat is coming together. Going to order nice hatches to go over the cooler and compartment in front of it. There will be a pie eye up in the cabin for access to the compartment that the console sits over and another one aft of the console to access the compartment next to the driver, all the compartments will have access to them. I was going to make hatches but that adds way more time to it. Gio has already started to fair out the transom and i need to start grinding and gelling the inside. The cabin is ready to gel, hope to get that done next week.

    looking awesome!

those plugs, where does one buy them?

have you worked with carbon fiber? Like make hatches out of carbon fibre?

The plugs, i cut them out of scrap thermolite board. Yes I have made some carbon fiber parts, mostly cosmetic. In the past i have made vacuum bagged hatches out of carbon, but that was years ago, for a 20 Willy Roberts classic flats boat we used to make.

    Great! ,

About the carbon. When it's embedded in clear and the carbon begin to degrade/oxidize, it creates a not-so-appealing look as compared to when the carbon was first embedded. How does one prevent the degradation/oxidation of carbon fibre?

ID:	319316Not sure exactly what your asking. Any carbon that ive used that is cosmetic i coat with UV stable epoxy and wet sand smooth and then clear coat it. It seems to work. I made a few things that were left "raw" and yes they dulled and "oxidize".

Gorilla, you've done/is doing an awesome job with this rebuild. Thanks for sharing with us, I know where to bring my boat if I run into problems with rot. Thanks again.
