    Highfive pitch?

Looking to try a Highfive prop for my 18ft stingray sterndrive. Boat has 3.0 merc 4 cylinder 135hp. Goes great with a Stainless Stiletto 14 x 21 pitch for speed ,but looking for a ski/tube prop. What pitch would you try?

    Thanks

Thanks for the offers. My season is closing here but appreciate the info. I put a 15x15 on that I had for the heck of it but it sucked. Would blow out easy.

I think I saw ice the other morning.

I doubt your engine makes enough power for a 5 blade to be of value. I would just use a good 19P 3 blade for your needs.

And no, you do not have ice on the water down there.

19 would be the starting spot. It's normally around 200 rpm less per added blade. Unless said prop alters bow or stern lift.

For ski use though many under prop to avoid the plane off hump. It means you cant run full throttle but take off is effortless. So a 17 might be in order. or 18-20 if h5 is a even pitch.

Thanks! That's what I had in mind for next year. Don't care about top end just a easy pulling slow planing for the little one when on the tube.

My 14x21 will put 50 on the speedo when we want to run around.
