Anyone in/around Jacksonville? What is this hull worth?

I am hoping someone on here is in or near enough to Jacksonville that could check this thing out and tell me what it looks like in person and what it would be worth. The transom looks really rough in the picture. I want one of these soooo bad but I don't want to start with something that is so rough I will have a million dollars and ten years tied up in it.

    Thanks

Can I hop away instead? One legged fellas suck hard at running! LoL
Thanks for the info, that is what I needed to know. I missed a free one last summer that was in really good shape...missed it by one day and it ended up getting scrapped.

As long as you hop fast it's ok

Keep an out, this is the time of year people want to dump them cause they don't want to store them for the winter.

One Thing With It's Location... IF (BIG IF HERE!!) You Were To End Up With It, You Are Very Close To Full Throttle Powerboats! If Anybody Can Fix It Jack Can!! Most Likely BETTER Than New! Plus If You Wanted Back The Original Metal-Flake, Jack Is Very Good At It! Let Him Take His Time, It'll Come Out NICE!!! Just My .02

    Slimm--

This one does look scarey. But my mantra (as on owner and lover of a '78 Vandal) is that virtually any Pipkorn 'stream will need a new core, new stringers, new transom (and humungus knees given how we power them) and a new floor. Unless you can find one that is an honest garage queen (and Greg isn't selling last I heard) or has been proven to have been redone by one of a very few people around here, that is just the way it is.
    Per Rock:

"Once I bought my first Hydrostream boating changed forever for me."

    Per my hero Instigator:

"I try not to let common sense interfere w/my boat buying decisions."

Best bet is to look for a really nice one around the $3500 range, by the time you factor in the amounts of money for materials for a recore and having it painted its already over that number, not to mention the motor... Cheap ones are fun to work on but cost 3 times more guaranteed in the end, just my 2 cents

I would LOVE to have the finances to be able to get one and have it done by someone whose reputation is held high among this community, however since I live on a fairly tight Disability income and whatever odd jobs I am able to knock off for a few bucks I am stuck with really slow progress unless I can get lucky and do some trading around and end up with something that I am content with even if it really isn't what I want. Maybe someday I will win the lottery and be able to get a V-King, a Viper AND an STV! LoL
