Anybody got a Ram EcoDiesel yet?

I drove one the other day it seems pretty good. Obviously it ain't a Cummins but I don't need a heavy duty truck to pull my little boats with.

Two friends have them, I sold my 2012 HEMI., got a 2014 v6, amazing with the 8 speed. Mileage is great, BUT I now wish I waited for the diesel. The mileage they are getting is better then most cars.
Sorry for the metric, but for example my HEMI was getting 15.5-16 liters per 100 km, my v6 is around 11 to 11.5, and the guys with the diesel are 7.5 to 8 liters per 100 km. basically double the mileage of the HEMI. No problems, super quiet.

Yep 2015 limited. Currrently 22 combined flat highway at 65 and hilly lake area under 45. All ready burned 1/4 tank def at 1500 miles. I have yet to see the instant hit over 30. Have not pulled yet as breakin and stuff. The millage my be a gearing issue i thnk dad got the lows not the economy.

Hinestly i prefer my 6.2 denali over dads new truck. But i have yet to pull with it.

I will say i prefer it over my hemi aspen (the ecodiesel).

Yep turbo gas will always win at altitude and always beat diesel. It will even beat their big diesels and ram and gm. In that test. Only the supercharged ford was faster in that run over the years.

Diesel will always win at the same cubic inches with the proper turbo charger. Don't buy a diesel for economy because it is more expensive to operate, but the first time you hook a boat to one and walk away from the pack, you won't want another gas truck !!

Nah the 2.7 gas ford walked in that test granted fuel used was not supplied. And granted we dont know what gear the used in the linked test. I.e first gear floored turning the most rpm would win over any thing. This particular test in the link leaves most trucks wanting. The altitude heat ect get them doing crazy things. It is a make or break test though.

You are correct as well that was just a speed trial test. Average drivability is way better guide. Gas will buzz like a bee over diesel chuggin along.
