What rpms should I be running?
Have a 79 sleekcraft rebel with a 454 bbc and a mild cam. It has a 750 edelbrock on it and I am only hitting 4100 rpm. It has a Berkeley pump with a stock A cut impeller. Runs real good but I think it should have more rpm's, or better yet what rpm's should it be running?

My guess would be 4600-4800 rpms. go with a b cut and you will get more rpms and should be quicker.

Took it to the lake and was getting 4200 rpm and topped out at 52 mph. That's with the A cut impeller. Would like to try a B before buying one.

verify the tach is reading correct first, check your tune for the altitude too.
