1977 Hydrostream Viper For Sale
1977 Hydrostream Viper , 115 hp Mercury, galvanized trailer, stainless steel Laser II prop, power tilt and trim. This is an exceptionally clean boat, all original, fresh water use only. The gel coat and seats are as good as they look in the pictures. This boat has been kept inside it's whole life { I am the second owner}. A compression test last year showed 115 to 120 psi on every cylinder. Boat runs 62 mph at 5100 rpm, hull is solid, with only a few stress cracks in the usual areas. [hull was re cored with divinycell when I bought it]. The drivers seat is the only seat that is ripped, {note towel on seat in the picture}. Turn key boat, any questions please ask. More pics upon request. $4,200 OBO.

I know this is a long shot on an old post, but is this boat still for sale? I am less than 100 miles from you with $ waiting. Thanks

Update - The boat did sell. I was in the process of having a friend in law enforcement trace the tags when the boat popped up again on Craigslist. The new owner had done very little to it. I brought it home a few weeks ago. The motor needs a powerhead rebuild so I sold it and picked up a fresh 75 150 inline 6 for it. Got a few other things to sort out so it will be 2017 before its ready for my first Hydrostream ride. Overall the boat is very nice.

Here is the latest. The boat is sitting in my garage. I go out and tinker with it between wrapping up a motorcycle project. The motor needed a complete rebuild as most old towers do. Instead I bought a fresh 1500 I found here on S&F from the XSKid. It is hanging on the transom now, but it is destined for a 17' Baja bow rider that is my "family boat". The 77 1500 ELPT that was on the Baja is being restored to go on the Viper. Other than that I am accumulating parts such as a jack plate and looking for a dual cable steering set up. Anybody have one of those that will work on a Viper with a tower of power Merc?

Crazy things are happening in my life and now I have listed the hull and trailer for sale. Please see my posting in the marketplace for Hulls up to 20'. This is a nice solid boat. Not perfect, but all the hard work is done. Hang your power on it and go. Call or text Darrel if interested. $3,000 202-468-6105
