mercury 2.0 150 max speed

whats the fastest stock 150 2.0 mercury my buddys drag motor is down so figured we might as well make it fun while using this 150 and try to get the max out of it

Fastest? Hard to really answer that. You can have a custom ported 150 2.0L with 7 pedal reeds (I don't even know if that's possible), shaved heads, etc, etc. But if you put it on a 38' sportfish, its not gonna be very fast.

yeah im asking whats the top speed someone got out of a stock 150 mercury 2.0liter from boat setup different hulls not trying to build more hp out of the motor because then its not a 150 anymore

Gotcha, well I got almost 60mph out of mine on an 18' Ranger bass boat. I'm sure guys could haul with one. It comes down to the hull.

I ran a bone stock (minus modules) '87 2.0 XR2 150 on my Viper before I stepped up to a 2.5. My best was 83.7mph @ ~6400 with a 30P ET. Boat weighs 600lbs, full factory interior, 6 gal fuel, driver, and misc junk in the boat.

EDIT: For clarification, 600lb boat, 385lb motor, rigging, driver, and fuel = ~1375-1400ish lbs with me in the boat.
