    Beer Chicken

So most have done the BBQ Beer Chicken, stick a chicken on a beer and put it the BBQ for obout a hour and a half. Have not done one this summer, wife decided to do one. Get home from work tells me me to relax and wait it's all under control. She cooks I carve.
When its time she tells me to get my azz in the kitchen and carve. No problem. Can't get the bird off the beer can. Honey come hold the can so I can get the bird off. Pull the chicken off the can,,, someone forgot to open the beer can. LMFAO and hers to.
Was a great laugh for the two of us, and it still tasted great, just no beer flavor.

Still can't believe that beer sat inside the bird for 1 1/2hrs sealed and did not explode.

Wow! I'm amazed it didn't explode also.

At least you both had a good laugh about it. Pretty sure you'll remember that one for a long time and always have a good laugh.

Thats a no brainer as the recipe calls for 1/2 can before shoving it up the Chickens Butt.

...classic!! Cook all the time on the big pit down here and will share that a Coors can works best for drunk chicken. Not for whats inside the can but they are easier to get in the chicken because they are narrower than your average can.
Add some stuff to the beer such as Wishbone zesty italian dressing, some rosemary, garlic, etc and the flavor will infuse the chicken while it's smoking and won't dry out.

...also you can lift the skin while you are getting the yard bird ready to go on the pit. I throw some dry rub between the skin and the meat and moisten it with some good olive oil. Rub I make has smoked paprika, granulated garlic, chipotle habanero (smoked), a little raw cane sugar, and some other stuff. Fat from the skin along with the good oil keeps the meat as moist as you would ever want it. Smoke it with good Oak or Pecan till the juices run clear when ya poke it with a knife!

YEP !!!!!!! Coors is the best!!!!!!! There are so many variations. But I also like to plug the bird with small cut up pieces of garlic cloves. Done the Rub thing under the skin as well.

its really hard to mess one up. Thats unless you fail to open the can drink 1/2 of it then shove it up the birds keester But even then if seasoned its still all good.
