2004 225 seapro efi throttle pos sensor
04 225efi has trouble idling and smokes bad. Has erratic top end. runs great in the midrange. Think its a tps out of range. I know idle should be at .95 volts and at full throttle needs to be 3.8 volts. tps has three wires which ones to check voltage? Don,t have the merc pigtail. The tps is not slotted to adjust. How is the adjustment done if I can't move the tps.

Checked tps all in range. Only way to keep engine running is to continually squeeze primmer bulb. Noticed also residual fuel in the bottom of the intake when opening the throttle valve on top of the intake. Could this be caused by bad reeds. Motor has 257hrs.

could be a broken or missing reed petal
pull the intake off and take a close look in the reed cages
