Merc 25 Performance??
Does anybody know of any modifications that can be made to a Mercury 25 2 stroke without pushing the limits and reliability too hard? im running 32 with it totally stock, i have a panther power trim unit with 5-11 inches of adjustable setback and a 18 pitch OEM mercury chopper on the way right now. im in the process of drilling out the foot as well.

Pretty strong lil motor stock. I wouldn't think much more is to be had.

looks like im gonna get a adapter plate made for a bigger (35) carb, tune it down, and work my way up on it and see how it does. cant really do actual motor work on theese motors other than blueprinting.. how do i block the idle reliefs? are those the pinholes in the block ive heard about that you fill with epoxy or something similar?
