    I took a couple pages out of laker's book by adding the floor mounts and tying the deck to the hull with side supports

    I did the side supports or "gussets" as I called them. Good call IMO. Looking good!

    Also be sure to add the brace to the deck to prevent bouncing and flexing of the deck at speed.
    Also add some thickness to the dashboard if you haven't already.

    When water gets in the boat. On the floor ..will it be able to get into the bildge area somehow without having to go over thoes trim pieces around the knees?

    I don't plan on getting in the boat wet at anytime but I see your point, if it rains a little or gets wet I'll just use towels
