    1996 225 evinrude car upgrade

Hi Guys, I have a 1996 model 225 vindicator that I want to put bigger carbs on, I currently ski race the boat and am just looking for a performance gain without porting the engine, the carbs on it now are part no 437653 which are the stock carbs, I have heard that a 140 or 150hp carb have a bigger Venturi, any help would be great. Thanks

They did not make a 150 looper, it would be a 60 degree motor carb, and they are different. I don't know these carbs as well as some others but I think you already have the big bore carbs. You have same part # as xp-gt motors. Bump up the compression. Mill the heads.
