The Lake Koshkonong Speed Runs are Saturday August 16th, 2014. The Sunset Bar & Grill owners and crew have made a commitment to bring this event back to the level it once was. The Sunset crew will be running this event, however, Bill Gohr, myself, and others will be lending a helping hand to make sure this event runs as smoothly as possible. The 1000'+ speed run coarse will be measured, laid out and tested prior to competition, and speeds will be shot using a Stalker Professional Radar Gun with distance chip. This radar gun will also hold peak speed achieved anywhere within the 1000' trap should a driver need to get out of the throttle. Classes will be redefined for 2014 based on power, mods, hull type, interior, etc... similar to the early years, to provide the fairest competition possible. All boats will be tech inspected and classified by Bill Gohr prior to entry (so arrive early if at all possible). A designated 'pit only' pier area will be available for tools, props, fuel, etc. Speed data will be compiled via computer and posted as the days event progresses. You may purchase as many passes as needed throughout the day to stay on top of your class. 100% Payback+ in all classes. A $500 'King of the Lake' bonus award will be given to the fastest overall boat of the day regardless of class. Sunset Bar & Grill owners and crew have expressed their absolute commitment to making this event, once again, one of the premier performance boating events in the midwest. TG

^ wow that does suck, as far as a ramp, Rock River Marina is right there, I'm not sure of the name of the ramp we use, it's right on the lake, shallow, you have to push your boat out a little ways, It is a park ( so you have to pay to use the launch) but I think it was only 5 bucks....
