What is the difference between a 1999 ProMax and a Promax sport of the same year?

Not sure what you mean here. The Promax SS is a 15" mid. The Promax X has the later style optimax type air handler.

Same motor different decal. The 225 EFI promax from 95 till 2000 all the same power head. There were differences in mids and gearcases over the years but the motors them selves were all the same. Dynoed 245 HP at the prop shaft.
