Triad v21 lower unit gear ratio change ?

Hey guys , I broke my sportmaster 1.87 last weekend on my triad v21. It has a 2.5 260efi powerhead. I'm going to put a 2/1 ratio coned lower on. How much of a difference will I notice? I read some old post on here it's roughly 400 Rpms higher and I know the gears are aren't exactly like a prop change that's why I'm asking. I'm not big into screaming the thing for every last mph. If any of you guys run the. 2/1 how do you like it? Thanks mark

I have a 1.75 sporty and 1.87 the 1.75 feels tall even with a 24 on it I usally run a 28 et.I would think the 2.1 should feel real tourqey I would like to try one .you ready to sell me that boat yet

Yeah I would really like it if it felt more torquey. I like the acceration better than the all out top speed. Sure I'll sell it to you. It's in the garage covered up waiting for you to pick it up

Been testing the 2/1 case and I really like it. Feels torquey. Rpms come up quick. Boat drives a little different then the sporty lower. Speedinstream how much trim does your v21 like?

After 90 very little look chummy up he knows v21 about as good as wally

What motor are you running on your triad now? What are you getting out of it?
