That all sounds perfect! Just make sure to include triple 500gph (minimum) auto/manual bilge pumps, as we get large cruisers that could swamp a beached 22 on the main channels. I personally would also use a Braille B3121 battery (or similar lightweight battery) to keep the rear of the boat as light as possible. I've run these batteries with 300XSs and had good luck with them - paired with a lightweight on-board battery charger is ideal, since our boats out here are kept down at our docks, not in a garage. And last, but certainly of importance, be sure to bond the deck and hull with a glass overlay inside at the entire front of the boat. This was something that Gary Armington did not do on the 22s that he built (he said he couldn't get up there to do it), and it was a weak area in the boat. I'm looking forward to seeing the boat when it get's out here!

Videos are impressive. What do you expect from a single engine setup?
You mentioned several builders, did you get any feedback from any of the original Talon builders? I had an 18 that was flawlessly constructed. Often wish I still had it.

There has only been 2 previous builders of the Talon 22's. Gary Armington was the original, John Spaeth/ Ted McNab/ Ted Gryguc were the 2nd and I am the third. The previous builders were using Balsa Core, wood transoms, wood ribs, wood knees and other wood braces. We built one with some balsa in the tunnel tops and 2 with wood transoms. All of ours are 100% balsa and wood free (rot free). We have built 6 boats so far. Getting ready to start on #7 soon. Two of the boats are rigged and out running both in the 106-108 range. The lightest one to date is in the 800 lb range and has not been rigged yet. The heaviest is 1250 and was built that way on purpose. When using foam core and vacuum bagging there is a big weight saving without sacrificing strength. I have an original Talon here and anyone who has been to my shop and walked on it and one we built will tell you how solid ours is.

We would have to cut the port dash out and install another one. It can be done. The new Talon 22 revisions for the next mold we build will have port or starboard driving.

    Hey Todd,

Will you be able to do a console delete and put the shifter where my mine is on my 22 I/O?
It sure makes getting in and out the front seat easier.
