It "could" be DIAB Divillete Putty, which is a bedding compound that DivinyCell came up with, years ago, for their foam coring materials. It has always been royal blue in color. Excellent product for any brand/type of core.

Thanks for the feedback. Interesting as this 1989 hull is cored with Divinycell. The blue is not from the scrape as has been suggested earlier in the thread. There was no blue in contact, only the green. I'm not sure if DIAB corresponds roughly with vintage 1989.

When DivinyCell foam coring first came to market, and for many years after, most of the different density's available(the most popular H-60, etc.) were tan in color. They changed the coring color to green in the early 90's. Devillete putty was/is always blue. Hope this helps.

you always seem to ask these types of questions "hey whats this stuff"...............
Are these photos of your boats or are you just gathering personal data?

Take a photo of the backside or take a grinder to it and solve the mystery

What's your point RobF? I thought this is a board where you can ask questions and learn. Grinder? I'd rather ask a few questions first!

no point GregG, just sometimes a follow up to the question such as "we repaired it and found this" lets those who gave information know how things worked out

Somehow I'm very confident that asking a couple of glass questions will get some answers OG. S+F never met a question it did not have a few answers to. That is what makes this site a great one and well worth the subscription price. Now I understand that both you and RobF make a living each day doing fiberglass repairs so you're entitled to "opt out" at any time. It's all good gents.

Greg, you missed the smiley face in my response.
i remember you asking another question, about a dash i think, or another lamination question.
i was only asking if it were to collect data or if it was part of a project or another issue. No harm meant.

I know you like to ask questions and obvioulsy its the purpose of the forum.dont know why my question irratated you so much ill steer clear if you are having a bad day.

Actually, I'm having a great week, never mind day. I don't ask that many glass questions as I wouldn't know a grinder from a covered call, but I do post a color coded and font specific "list" on occasion.
