Problem starting 130 yamaha
Hello, my name is Mike.
I have a 2002 yamaha 130 2 stroke saltwater series V4. I am having a couple problems. Firstly, when the motor sits for a while, in order to start it up, carb cleaner is needed to spray into the intake while someone turns the key. Just wondering what I could do in order to start motor without having to spray carb cleaner into the intake. If the motor was running and hasn't been sitting for over 30 min it starts right up with no problem. Anything over 30 min of the motor being off, carb cleaner is needed. If anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.
Recently replaced: choke solenoid, fuel pump, primer bulb and hose assembly, starter retainer, and spark plugs.
Thanks,
Mike J

So this motor still has choke butterflies? Make sure the solenoid is adjusted to hold the butterflies shut tight. What about the manual choke, does that not help either? Make sure the motor is leaning back when starting cold, helps the fuel flow back into the motor.
