I use talc and cabosil much of the time, especially if I can't be arsed to drive 200+ miles for a bucket of core bond. I've used spheres in a pinch too and nothing has fallen apart.

I am not too worried than. It was like two parts milled fibers, one paret microspheres, and one part Cabosil.

I used two parts Cabosil and one part micro spheres to fill the gap from where the floor meets and plan to use it in my splash well delete, but that is just to form and have the glass flow better.

Talc and aerosol was all we ever used when I first started !. Now its still used but Q cells and microsphere's are banned in any factory I have been manager of , have seen great patch's that never stuck so banning fixed that problem .
Micro fibers were not available for quite some time later . The auto filler industry were first to use then the boating industry a while later! some chopper guns has multi blade cutters that was good for making and mixing into slurry for bonding Balsa core To get a really whipped cream texture we made our mix the day before and left it over night !with a quick stir it was ready for use .
Messing round with boats is fun !! the learning never stops ,even after more than 30 years there's always something new happening somewhere ! BUT somethings never change and some problems never go away and just keep reoccurring !!so moved into Composite Forensics , Now that something completely new !!

Well finally drug the ol' girl to work to start prerigging the motor and controls. Weather got cold fast and I wasn't able to finish my splash well delete, so I will have to pull everything off and finish that up as well as brushing/ rolling on some white gel.

Those heads don`t necessarily mean it`s a 2.0L. Back in the 80`s most everybody had those heads on their 2.4`s. The only real way to no for sure is the number on the block or even easier pull one head and measure the bore. 3 3/8th bore is 2.4 and 3 1/8th is 2.0L.

    Nice boat
