    allison grand sport how fast?

    Im thinking about getting a Allison grand sport what speed do you get out of them only posts ive seen are 200hp at around 95mph what about a 260 280 etc?

    A good 260/280 will run 105 +/- 2

    Yes the SS is faster. 110 is no problem with a 260/280

    Yep. A 2.5 won't get you to 110, but in an SS it'll much more doable. A well setup SS (especially a Comp) will get you you north of 110.

    Bought one this year with a 2005 280 being 100 percent stock with 25 original hours non offshore ran it hard for the 1st time this weekend with a 30 hoss went 104 on the limiter at 7800 I think there was more if it got past the limiter drove perfect..

    A gs with a 260-280's will run 100-106 I think Zimmer has gone 107 if you are looking for more speed find a nice xr2002 they handle better than a ss but an ss setup right will go 105-115 but a drag is what more fun and the fastest

    Thanks guys thing is I want 4-5 seats to be able to go 4 a lasy drive to. so ss2000 it will be. we have none here in New Zealand so your help is really great.
