Beautiful boat. I'm curious how the Armstrong bracket changed your handling. What props are you using now?

They are 03 motors with 1:75 gears. Started with 25" and I shortened them to 20". Only went with 24" set back and Stainless Marine Gorilla jack plates with a plate between them and one jack plate pump. Seems like 32 bravos work the best all around. 88 mph at around 5900 to 6000rpms. Are you putting together a Seebold? Or another 26.

You shortened them? did you get 20" mids or did you cut the 25" down ?
The lower units that I have four holes up front where a nose cone would go, not sure what gear ratio ... no blow out?
The boat is a old inboard 26' Sleekcraft aristocrat that I put a 8.75 pad on , It also had 2.4s on it last time in the water, not sure what the speed was.

Good looking boat. Looks like fun. The Seebold pad is big. Haven't measured it but it looks like 12-14". I ran stock gear cases like yours up to 81mph with no blow out. I am a Mercury dealer so I just ordered two new 20" mid sections and did the work myself.

The older XS 250s were higher compression , said to make 275 prop shaft HP . pre 2006.

What gas do you run in your motors, sticker says 91 premium, just bought another 100 gal transfer tank I'm going to fill with off road 90 , I'm sick of the ethanol problems.
Yeah your pad looks wide , wide is fast. Old Bill Seebold lives two miles from me .

    Nice project
