    Just the opposite ... dead weight - 88mph is respectable , I could only dream about 90mph, any market for 25" or 30" mids ,I bought three 2004 250XS motors as a package, I don't want to sell my mounts , single ram, guess I'll have to join a offshore site.

    Cuda, actually, just the opposite. It was the little bit of extra weight that helped settle the boat down for that little extra speed. It was the fastest the boat has run so far...

    I know w/both of my 24' Sonic's, very little w/set up made sense.
    I had both motors full up to full down by 1/4" increments three times and very little made sense and hardly anything was repeatable.

    Kinda like wheels.

    25" are easily sold especially if they are clean. 30" end up in the center of trips or a C/R pair on big twin engine boats. The nice thing about mercs is the 30" are an adapter and usually a stub shaft lower so its an easy swap to 25".

    I'm swimming in BRP 20s and 30s, never seems to be enough 25s around here.
