Three Lakes Shootout: June 27th & 28th ...... BIGGER & BETTER THAN EVER THIS YEAR

    To the ScreamandFly Racers,
First a bit of an apology for this being delayed this year for a myriad of reasons, not the least of which is THE ICE ESSENTIALLY JUST WENT OUT! I was walking on Medicine Lake about a week & a half ago. That did not inhibit our planning & everything is a go including the popular Tour of the Lakes on Friday, June 27th followed by the static display of all the racers at Bonnie's Lakeside. The racing fun begins on Saturday at Anchor Marine & Sunset Grill on Big Stone Lake by the Three Lakes Airport. Paul, Owner of Anchor is ready to take reservations for the indoor parking of any racer AT NO CHARGE, but you need to give him (715-546-8333) a call to reserve. It is nice to know your rig is protected while you can enjoy some fun down-time.

Saturday begins with the drivers meeting at 10:30, followed by racing from 11 to 4:30. The Award ceremony begins promptly at 5 in the Big Tent followed by a performance by a famous songwriter from Nashville who has written material for a "who's who" including Hank Williams, Jr., Tim McGraw, Jeff Cook, Brady Seals & Little Texas. That should be a great show followed by more fun & music at the Harbor Campground next door. This should be a fun afternoon!

We have purchased new radio equipment that offers a dedicated channel for the race ONLY for the Start & Finish line boats, plus the announcer & the Leader Board. This year we're going to allow limited "blowing out some carbon" right in front of the bleachers before moving to the starting chute to the delight of the crowds, so plan on that. We have also fixed the problem with getting the assigned racer numbers accounted for & we think you'll like all the improvements we've worked hard to implement to make the event even better.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible & as always, the Three Lakes Volunteer Fire Department thanks you for your help, generosity & continued support!

Thanks Mike. Look forward to seeing your new rig, unless you are bringing the GS?

It is true.... The ice took out all of Pine Isle's permanent piers AGAIN this year, so they brought in a crane & pulled all of the phone pole pilings. They replaced everything with 4, new, all aluminum roll-in 80' piers. Lotsa room for racers to check out each other's rigs while enjoying something cold & bubbley!

    3 Lakes

    Blarney
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
