Oh, around 800HP..... Not a whole lot compared to my total HP but noteworthy nevertheless. If I can beat Reggies old unofficial CC record I might want to go for a new official record too. I have my own ideas and would make my own hull. At these speeds aerodynamics are way more important than anything else. I do have a bit of that experience and pending on Monty I might just go for it too.

I pulled my power head tonight, and thought, that sure is a small amount of metal to make 400+ hp.
I run with alot of jet boat guys up here and they 1000 hp in a 19' boat to run with me.
i could not imagine 800 hp + ! ! Must need to re-enforce the transom ! We all got stress cracks. Imagine what that does to the boat !

The cowling mold is done. The pans are almost complete, so will be laying up the first set this next week. The race boat is coming along very well, Some very nice metal work by Chaz. Gordon is doing some final mock up. He is also very busy on some other interesting projects to be discussed at a later date. Now that the cowlings are complete and we have a big motor all we need is a boat that can handle it. So I have decided to enlist the true talent of Doug Whright for that task. We will be starting with a clean slate. Doug is in the middle of a move at the present time so the project should start in a few weeks. An all American new design can not wait. The Top Fuel plug is almost complete also.
