I derived the 4.5" figure from measuring on my boat from the pad to the tip of the nosecone and the same on Chris Kaiser's boat that is running one of Geiger's mids. I'm pretty sure it was 4-4.5" more for the Geiger mid

You oughta buy the 12" Chris Alby has for sale on here. Those mids aren't easy to come by and his price isn't bad
