what make boat did I buy

    Hello,

My first post on this board, I'm a 100% dutch gearhead, have an intrest in all kind of powered vehicles etc.
I live in the netherlands and I'm self employed and work as a steel yacht builder. I have mechanical skills, work on motors, electrics, fabricate stuff in steel, stainless, aluminum and know my way around the wood working shop.

my hobbies: cars, bikes and boats, dragracing, traveling

Recently I bought this jet boat, of un-know make. It has been powered by a olds 455, the jet is a jacuzzi.
I got it with all the motor plates, intake, starter etc. The old block was siezed and the guy I bought it from took all the part off and scraped the motor.

The guy I bought it from didn't know much about it so I have lots of qeustions and the first is what make boat did I buy?

    It's measures roughly 18ft and it's 7ft wide

Here are some pic's how I bought it:

Olders pic's that I got with it:

A couple of things I noticed: The Bassett headers look like they're dated 1983 or 1989- can't quite make that out, but the thru-hull exhaust system must have been removed and the headers added. Full length stringers are good. Fiberglass shoebox style fuel tanks are not- see what you have in there. I don't see a US hull identification number on the starboard transom anywhere...are there any numbers/symbols/data plates on the boat anywhere? If not it's possible it's a very early, prior to 1973 jetboat. The Jacuzzi pump also dates it to an extent- based on my limited American jet boat knowledge. They were used less and less into the Seventies when Berkeley pumps became more of a standard unit in most American jets.

Lastly, register yourself on performanceboats.com and post links to these photos there for the members to help you with identification. There's an entire section devoted to jet boats.

    Hope this helps!

    tnx for your reply!

There is no id data on the boat.............I think it sunk one time, was taken out of the water, stored and the block siezed, sold and completly stripped by new owner who painted it orange.

i did register on performanceboats.com but it seems they are not letting me post on there after registering etc............sent 2 msg's to the mod.......no answer yet

I don,t think its a Rebel the overall shape of the transom looks to rounded also the Chine line at the transom looks to be much to deep and the Gunnel looks much more pronounced where it rises up. What I think ya got there is a Kona.
