    Only 40 mph? My Blackjack 29 regularly runs over 50 mph on batteries, if I can keep the wind from getting under it.

    I hogged out the strut slot into a "P" shape, and re-shaped the stuffing tube to raise it up higher and put some down-angle into it. That really helped lift the stern and settle it down. I run three hard-case 2S car packs in series. Best speed on 58.1 mph GPS on the stock motor, ESC, and prop, hand-finished, balanced, trued and sharpened.
