Nope. I need some way to bolt it on. Double lock nuts or something. Theres no splines that stuck out to lock onto or enough threads for the stock nut to get into the lock nut part of the nut.

    What do others use.

Got a new prop in and had to go out and try it today. A
Signature ET 26. I was able to get it to 75 mph at 6000 rpm with just myself but super unstable. Then at a sandbar picked up a beach bum and his weight really stablized the Stream and stupid me didnt turn the gps back on BUT i definitely saw 7200-7300 on the tack on a long open run...

    So if 75 mph @ 6000 with 1.87 LU that's about 5% slip.

That amount of slip @ 7200 shows 90 mph

Looks like the cleaver is working for you with it set up like you have it with 2 people.

Also...jmo...the plugs look a bit lean to me. Maybe pull the plugs and have a look at the piston wash pattern and see better where your a/f tune is at.

"IF" I'm reading "only" the plug porcelain color, I like a nice toast color.. jm2c...

4 blades give stern lift. Hubs give even more. Notice a trend here? With 10% slip that comes out to mid 80's on the 26p sig. That's moving out real good. You were at 5% slip at 6000 and 75 mph. Hooked up good.

Is my bow too light? Or can all Hydrostreams be lifted up by hand out of the water?

Been playing with some props. The 26 Trophy is my favorite so far for all around playing with a boat full of cooler and wife out for the day. It gets up and runs smooth and has the least amount of porpoising. And still runs 72-75 mph with 2 people in the boat. The Ron Hill Signature ET 26 has dont hold tbe bow to good and looses bite and drops the bow hard to the left.... mainly because i have the battery on the left side and my wife is a good 30 pounds heaver than me. Even with the cooler on the right side it still starts to get up then falls to the left from 10 to 60 mph then starts to smooth out and run up to 6000 rpm then hits a wall and cant hardly get over 6000 rpm... if conditions are just right it will lift up onto the pad and nose will drop and then the boat will TAKE OFF smooth as can be up to 7400 rpm!

I ran a 28 chopper and same thing hits a 6000 rpm wall then with some work i can get it past that wall nose drop and up to 7000 rpms but has lots of steering tourque.
I took my 27 SRX to Bob Lipton and he massaged the cups a bit and cleaned it up some but havent ran it yet.

What do i need to do?

I am having a hard time my self driving my Vector. I let a buddy of mine drive it with me in the back and he got it going really nice and stable. But when I drive it I feel like I am out of control. It has nothing to do with the boat just need more seat time and start to feel comfortable driving it. You have to get past the chine walk and learn to control it I am told. Still scares the **** out of me so it is hard to get past it and start to learn to drive the boat.
I started with a stock 28 Yamaha drag prop. It needs some cup to give it bow lift but it is a good prop to run on a stream. has lots of rake to lift the bow. with the right tip cup it will be a stellar prop I am told.

Vectors are notorious for being a hand full. Lot of lift built into that hull . Be patient...

Got the jackplate mounted. With a quick half arss measurement It sits a bit higher than my 6" Springfield Marine.

With everything mounted in the highest holes and powered all the way DOWN my propshaft is 1 1/2" below the pad.

    What ya think?
