How ‘bout that——- three hours in the shop today————- Mona Lou well on the way and a 38’ Cigarette concept. The boy is cooking with gas.
Have a little movement in the arms.
Managed to fasten my belt, hoping to be able to pull up my own pants before long.
Results of the Ultra Scan came through today confirming torn and broken ligaments in the shoulder. Good news is they have fixed me up with a shoulder specialist———— never knew that such a person existed.
Taking an early bed tonight——- looking forward to a normal Sunday——— Telegraph, read the funnies, do the general crossword over a normal English breakfast.
Matron has threatened to hospitalise me if I set foot in the shop tomorrow!

Quite nice—-just once in a while —— to live the life of a “Normal” , have a Sunday like everyone else.
Steal a Sunday from the grasp of the time thief who steals enough of my days already. Almost totally forgotten what a normal persons Sunday is like——- some folks go to church, others visit relations or friends , others go out for a trip in the car or the beach, or even sightseeing.
None of these things rarely appeal to me——— not terribly religious, and if any of my kith or kin wants to see me——— they know where I live.
Id sooner cobble up a concept than waste a day on the beach sunbathing, which I do realise you can’t do in winter, unless you live in Florida, Wogga Wogga or anywhere south of the equator .
Must have read a dozen books this last six months and have come to the conclusion that present day writers ( yes, I do mean ALL of them ) have totally lost the ability to write anything worth reading.
Compare anything you like that’s on the bookshelves today with anything written a hundred or even ten years ago and you’ll get my meaning.
Its when you get established writers like Clancy—- Baldacci——Patterson and the likes suddenly relying on another writer to construct a nondescript novel about nothing in particular you realise the literary society has gone into free fall. (The crappery)
You don’t have to read this, you can always “Delete” ——- Unfortuately you cannot do that with a £10/12 bestseller that bores you to tears.
WHERE HAVE ALL THEWRITERS GONE ? Turned to worms dear, every one. ,!

No way Pilgrim, I’m soft as Vaseline on a baby’s bum.
Have always tried to be extra careful in everything I’ve ever done. You ever listened to the pre flight drill on any aircraft ————- put the oxygen on your own nose FIRST. Then look after the others——- if The Patriarchs hurt, the the whole herds in danger.
Had two blowovers in my life, one, a full 360, performed to perfection, right in front of Joe Swift and Roy Ridgell (trying to impress Mercury.
The second and last was Havasu trying to stay upright and failing miserably. I did succeed in giving myself a shedload of aches and pains. Swore I would never do that again, and I never did.
Im not even brave Pilgrim and I dislike any form of pain, from guts ache to childbirth, and all points between.

Malcolm TYRRELL posted this on Facebook today. Was taken at Havasu as we tried to get it on plane after somebody messed about with the gear ratios and there wasn’t a prop anywhere in the world that would work until Bob Hetzel went to work.
Lump under the cover on the front of the trailer is a second DFV that was never even unwrapped!
We were able to compete due to Bedford (Bud ) Davey funding the operation.
First and only time the Cosworth ran in the USA————- never missed a beat in the whole seven hours.
