Johnno, my most sincere apologies, question begs where is Johnnie Sanders.
Barrus Bob, one of the great stalwarts of circuit racing! His wife was one of the prettiest girls in the world.
I am indeed a dingleberry, but honest to murgatroyd, I did walk the ON class, wasn't much interested in that particular race------just a tad lumpy to give the little black Sprint Molinari her head, so I just brought it home safe and sound!

Just who the hell are you Pilgrim?
That picture is well over 50 years old! Taken outside our council house in Oak rd, Southwater.
Boat and motor was parked outside the house, in the street between races.
That was my second race boat, "THE DERRY DEVIL" I bought it cheap with a 45 HP Merc on its bum because nobody could keep it on the water.
Most of the E class hulls could run 45mph with a 50 HP Merc-------that little mother would run 47 mph all day long.
My dad used to crew for me, until I dumped him in the water at Chase in the Duchess of York.

Spent a restless night wondering who Fujimo might be------I could put a name to 99% of the people and drivers involved in FONDA-----that was a group of drivers and individuals who had one thing in common------we all loved boat racing.
Bugger the politics-----we had it right-----almost!
A full 22 boats or more at EVERY meeting, non factory drivers actually winning races,.
Of course there were development motors for favoured drivers, ie, Seebold, Bentz, Fountain etc .
Racers from all over the world at every meeting whether it was London, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Singapore or Penang.
GG never thought we would make it--------but we did--------that's when the politics and the UIM kicked in, but that's another story altogether !
Time to come clean Pilgrim, I'm listening, just who the hell are you? Who can be that close to the Wilsons that I don't know about? Patriarchs never forget.

Cobbled a new front cockpit------put a little imagination into this one-------beauty of a concept is nobody can argue with you about what you were thinking at that particular moment, post a piccie tomorrow------bolted the motor down -------made a quill shaft between the drive and motor------generally, was cooking with gas today. Makes a pleasant change!

Johnson distributer Robert Glen
Hi Jackie you mentioned Robert Glen top right in this picture I am sure he was the Johnson distributer at this time and you mentioned his pretty wife Pep Glen I can remember one year at the Paris 6 hr race the first driver to start was my teamate Jeff Edwards he was to start the race I was the 2nd driver our team were racing Johnson .Well over 80 boats were lined up at the start you could here a pin drop the countdown started it got to around 2 minutes to go when Edwards decides to stand up in the boat takes his helmet off and shouts I need a Pee he was serious and starts to make his way to the bank and steps off the boat well Pep Glen stood in his way waved her arms and screamed at him to get back in I think you can guess what happened next but he did make the start.

Bob tried to get me to race a Johnson on numerous occasions, he also wanted me to take on the Johnson dealership. I think he's a Canadian by birth------he was good for racing, a true enthusiast .
Bob Spalding always left it until the five minute gun to take a leak. I can do LA to London without a pee, but I still get up in the middle of the night with a bursting bladder?
Old Fujimo is slow in coming forward and stating his case------anybody out there know him?
Lives in Florida-------probably retired Englishman------sounds Far East -----???
By Four o'clock I'd had enough, was tired and had back ache so lit the fire and had couple of glasses of wine and suddenly the world's a brighter place-------trying to sort out the rear cowling without enclosing the motor.
It already looks better than my last attempt at the COSWORTH .
No more piccies till the jobs done.

Everybody gone very quiet------nobody knows FUJIMO ------?
Rent day again, it always seems to be Thursday -------will do the pilgrimage to the Mecca at Ford, see if there are any hidden treasures to be found.
Haven't come up with a final solution for the rear cowl------have one or two loose ideas, but nothing concrete. Play it by ear.
time to rise, the smell of a pig sandwich is drifting up the stairs, mmmm---- does it get any better than this, the day's adventure is just beginning.
