great job on the "case" Jack and the powerhead! looking almost as good as you are! I was dreaming how a cross section of the entire motor could be inlayed to the guitar body!

Had roast lamb, asparagus, baby carrots and Jersey new potatoes for lunch, had a G&T as an aperitif.
The 750 Norton Commander is up and running and due for exhibiting !
The triumph trophy still has a way to go!
Bjorn is one of the world's most fanatical perfectionists when it comes to restoring classic bikes.
10 years ago, his Vincent Black Shadow sold for a world record ( at that time) £25,000.

Been having screamers with downloading piccies, bought a 5 in 1 card reader on line for £3, shoulda known better, -----a real piece of chinese junk.
Its taken me three years to learn how to use the iPad even so i can only do basics, hate having to go to my grandkids to ask them what to do next-------dammit, they should be looking to me as what to do next!
Got a few piccies of the two vintage motorcycles to show you, I'm still farting about, i got them onto the Mac but buggered if i can pull them up on to the S&F site. Been hours trying but theres no light in the tunnel yet.
Saturday morning and its chucking it down, shoulda been in the shop an hour ago, got things to do and places to be. Just sent Jill to the apple shop in chichester for a new iPad card reader ----feckin amazing £25 [$40] here in the uk, $8 in the USA, Cameron's looking to me to balance the whole UK economy.

Well , if nobody's interested in a vintage Norton------then sure as God made little green apples nobody will be interested in a Triumph Trophy. As I remember it "back in the day" most boat drivers had a motorcycle or two tucked away in the back of a shed, I know I did!
Maybe I backed the wrong horse here ?

Not to change the subject - but what is the current status of the 1st V6 Merc you now own? A photo woud be appreciated, even if it's just on a stand. Thanks!

Grey skies
Inprogress as they say----for the life in me, I have no idea why I started this "concept", it's early days, I may feel different tomorrow-----it's a piece of boating history best forgotten !
Bjorns Shadow had less than 12,000 miles on the clock from new, had been stored in a shed for 50 years, he spent two years making it BETTER than new----he sold it to the president of the Vincent Owners Club!
While it's worth a shilling or two today, I doubt very much it will ever rise in value to the dizzy heights of a Bentley Continental Speed Pilgrim.
Pissing down again! Grey skies , thick cloud cover, on the bright side, the garden needs some rain.
Jilly left for Somerset this morning at 6 am. Son number two finished the Radio/Chemo for a while so she is bringing him to stay here for a few days.
I shall tootle off into the workshop for an hour or two this morning and get stuck into finishing some of the many half finished projects I have skulling around the place, enjoy your weekend-----
Bon continuation !

Off to the Beaulieu Boat Jumble today, with some of the boys from Bristol Docks....I/we never buy much if anything- it's mostly "stick & rag" kit anyway.
But we all have a bit of banter and a chance of finding a trinklet from the old days always appeals..Phill.

Phill, you should know by now, just when the cars running like a roller, when you least expect it, a wheel falls off or you run out of juice or it rains and the wipers are dead ! Same thing with boat jumbles, mostly crap that folk don't want any more, sails that are rotten, small outboards that were dropped overboard five years ago but still look good, you never find what your looking for, but you do come across a bloke who has a friend who's had this sprint Molinari locked in an old pigsty for forty years and is open to offers! Never give up.

should be a nice project Gene------for my birthday in 1971 I bought a Honda 500 4, Kept it for ten years then swopped it for a 1953 Triumph Thunderbird with 18 miles on the clock.
Sold that to an Aussie bike rider for £2,000, plus a Mercedes LWB van, a Canon camera, plus a gold and steel Rolex--------saw a really nice BMW1200, had to have it, gave the guy the Rolex and £600.
Have always been into crazy deals, but invariably I would make a shilling or two on all my deals,
don't ever remember coming unstuck on anything!
