Mine host Steve, carving up the first lamb, served nearly a hundred hungry heads, and raised a very nice chunk of money for charity. Weather held up ok, no rain at all!
Tomorrow the first chest of wings along with Rich's roller gets shipped out, this includes Rogers big wing!
Second shipment leaves here September 10tH, if anyone wants anything sending, speak now or forever hold your peace.
John Schubert, Jeff Briggs,Mark Rathermell and John Sheldon,-------worry ye not, goods are "in transit".

If the health and safety officer ever went round to Steve's he would have sh-t fit at the Heath Robinson spit arrangement. It's not PC that's for sure, but then again neither was stevensons rocket!
Have to get all the wings , Molli's and golf trophies packed ready for off at noon today, so I can't hang about here in bed all day!

I need my bumps tested------must have had a mad fit of depression, before my brain got into gear I had started on two small engines and a beautiful wing ( skinny mini) an hour into it was when I realised I had sworn never to go down that particular road, let alone get off the train at Swizzwhizz Junction!

Things were going too smoothly to last, had a nice visit from daughter Tracy [ BOO} and her daughter Casey-------well of course we had to cease operations and chat for an hour or so
Pleased with the progress but still can't understand how come I'm doing yet another midget wing. your a right royal dingleberry Wilson!
Problem is, I'm getting to be a fussy bugger------ i look at the last thing i made and am reminded of my school reports "could have done better", so i said to myself just one more then I'm done!
Give you a progress report tomorrow.
Wednesdays out, i got an old friend of mine Reed Eller coming to stay for a couple of days ------maybe take that trip to Brooklands after all.

Here we go again,the heater skelter of life is whizzing round at an alarming rate of knots, September already------just a matter of weeks and it'll be November and time for OFF.
Have to get the Lexus in for a service this morning so it's short n sweet today.

Why did I do it ? 'cos I thought I could improve on the previous effort----will it be any better ?i don't know! Motors are smaller, gear cases better shape, the hulls are a bit better, still a long way to go.
Downside of all this is the previous efforts I did on Wings and Molinaris are not as good as I thought they were!
Think I could do a fair facsimile of a Seebold or a Velden now, if I tried hard enough I could even do a fair T3 or T4. It all depends on who asks me to make one!
Have lost any prejudice against Jonrudes i may have inadvertently had previously, think that's a throwback from Garbrecht doctrines of his time at Oshberg! Ie, "If it's not black, it shouldn't be on the back of a race boat".
Course, that was before he went all OMC on us !

Im all growed up now, past grievances are long forgotten, I can make up my own mind these days on what I like or dislike, choose what I want to do (or not)! Never realised what a privileged position to be in that is.

Due to pick my friend Reed up from Gatwick around 11:30 this morning. He spends six months of the year living in San Francisco and lives in the south of France the rest of the year! It's a whistle stop visit, but I'm hoping to take him to the Brooklands Museum, out to lunch, and dinner with some friends before he heads back to France on Friday.
Pool has been well used this week, kids go back to school next week so will batten it down for the winter after that.
Will get a couple of hours in on the Micro wing this morning, with a bit of luck I can get it in the last suitcase to the U. S.

Was chewing the fat 'bout this n that until well into the early hours, Reed makes a mean Martini which meant I didn't get to do a post last night!
Today won't be a lot better either,, Reed wants to come to the car boot sale at Ford, then we're off adventuring!

Jackie, I've waiting since seeing this boat at the 2011 OFF for it to hit the water again at the CRA's November V&H event. Better get those boys working it it pronto! Here's the family MEN. Heck I'd drive it...and I bet about 30+ others would want to also! See you soon!

That 1st snap is a beaut, Cumberland Basin turn at Bristol,nobody else in sight only the Grey Funnel job keeping well downstream.


The snapper would have been stood in front of the pub "The Cottage" well known as a haunt of pretty girls on a Saturday night.

Jackie..You should make a model of that boat( who better than you?) and get some Xmas cards printed off of that snap!
