will be off the water for a while I think!
Glad your alright after stuffing !

Our crew has run several 300 xs

We have had several bad coils
Maybe we got lucky and didn't blow the fuse

We did have a new Mercury Verado , it would run fine and just shut off, replace fuse go a while and shut off.

Drove us and the dealer crazy. I told them we were towed in by a sailboat this time, My local boat shop stayed open, it was late and dark outside when we lifted the cowl off. When we put a fuse in it
we saw a spark, a little pin hole in the insulation and it was making tiny sparks

So find a dark place, put a fuse in it and wiggle the loom !
Get a few pairs of eyes and look for a spark.

If your coil tests are Ok
