25' to 30' rough water V bottom running Twin outboard motors who's got the fastest?

Well I guess that settle that! Should of bought Matts 28' skater when I had the chances an saved up enough money for a decent hotel room and I would of had the best of both worlds.......

Skater only makes 1 V bottom 39' twin staggered I/O's only! Awesome and fast boat but not nearly as fast as the cats. It was something Pete wanted to try, but it did not sell as expected!

I believe there's 2 models in the V line, the 399 and the 488. There's only a couple of each of them out there. A local guy here has a dual f16 style cockpit looking 399 that runs pretty good. I think he's running in the 120's and cruises around 80. Our local boating site is down so I can't look up the pics and info on his boat.

Do the larger skater or cats have useable cabin space or are they strictly performance platforms like the sub 30' models?

Yes, some have very usable cabins. There is actually a 36 here on the Island with a beautiful cabin. Skater/Peter will make anything your budget can afford! Heck a guy with a big Skater is going to a top quality hotel and he/she will get there very quickly...

FYI, Skater has designed many big name manufactures V hull, especially their stepped bottom design.
BTW, here is a perfect example; 39' V running 120 a 36' Cat runs 160, 38' 170
