2014 HydroStream Power Tour official HSPT megathread

One of this winters builds that im doing right now..







With it being so cold out the last few weeks things have slowed to a stop..This - neg 20 stuff don't cut it in my shop...But with 2 vector builds back to back to be done around the start of spring I need 4 more helping hands and some Bud Light..

as a kid in the 80's my dad had a blue streak viper with an 85/140 Johnson. (I believe that's right???) our saturday routine was to hook up to the boat... stop at kfc and pick up a bucket of chicken and head to the sand bar. the boat club launch we used had a no wake zone that ended with a little draw bridge. dad would stand it up taking out under the bridge. sitting in the back I could of swore he was gonna snag the nose on the bridge every time!

we got into fishing in the late eighties and dad sold the viper to get something more for our needs. that boat (like all vehicles he sells lol) was mint when it left our house.

now its me calling him to go boat riding

I remember back in73 when my best friend came up with his new 1973 15 foot Viper with a 135 Chryslerwith a speedmaster, it only stayed together about 2 hours before it had large inspectionholes throughout the block. Then it was time for a 150 tower of power, no trim,swinging a 2 blade round eared chopper. Thinking back that was 40 years agothis past summer. Time fly’s when you’re having so much fun. Good memories <o></o>

Well I would assume Center since the dash is being closed up. If I knew, then I forgot LOL. Either way, I hope to see it in spring/summer

Center steer, hydraulic steering. I wish I could come up with a cleaner way to route the wiring harness and control cables without it looking funky. I've been working on a polished stainless bulk head fitting cluster for the trim and steering lines for the center of the splash well. I think I'm going to try and fuel inject one of my spare powerheads for it.

My boat is complete, runs but needs some updating . Im afraid ill take the interior and the carpet out, ill end up biting off more than i can chew with my boat all torn apart and my wife parking in the driveway.

Well my first stream story ..... Mud shark came over with a grey vector he bought all set up just right ..... Pretty mean lil 2.4 center steer ..... I was hooked . Never looked back . Except at the rooster tail. He wouldn't even let me ride in it at first to get the feel he just threw me the keys and made me drive that evil thing ..... It was great I was so freakn scared but smiling ear to ear .... I have been an addict ever since .
