Anyone looking for a Project? Was doing my usual searching the net & I stumbled across this. A Virage turbo 4 that needs to be part of the Power Tour.

I'd like to hear the validity of this 4 hull, I doubt even what I have is a 4 though it was touted to be.

I forget the name brand of gel used; I'll have to ask, but only some light wet sanding and buffing on the deck, fresh white on the transom, dash, and rear deck, a few color matched spots in the striping, and all fresh white gel down the pad of the boat with LOTS of sharpening. The gel on Dan's XT was thick as it's been well taken care of since he bought it new 25 years ago so it was a perfect candidate for only needing some minor clean up.

    Ditto.

That would be the only other 'Stream I'd really want to re-do. Although if a 3 came across my way I'd probably do that.

I just bought a Verado. There is not much info on it. Any opinions? I have had 2 Vectors, 1 Vking yt and currently have a ventura that I'm recoring. I know it is a ventura with a different deck. Was there a reason why HS built this boat? What was the advantage/ disadvantage over the Ventura??

They triedxto "pretty up" the Ventura II. It's a Ventura II hull so wider than the Ventura I, otherwise just a different cap. Cool snag!!!!

Verado just has a different deck. Probably to try and tap into ski boat market at the time.

Should be a great hull just as the Ventura is. Way better handling than a Vector or Vking. Apparently this new deck appealed to the Baja/Checkmate crowd.
In reference to the Hydrostream Power Tour:

Ventura 2 bottom. Best V hull they made. Howard told me they made that boat to look more like the Checkmates that were becoming popular. He figured they could snag some market share for a more classy, conventional deck design.
