When I lived in Ft Lauderdale, I had a boat shipped to Knoxville TN & took a 2 week Vacation & drove it back through the Tennessee River, down the Tombigbee waterway to Mobile Alabama & around the coast to Ft Meyers & across Okeechobee Waterway & back To Ft Lauderdale. The best 2 week vacation on a boat.

Like some already said, this site is PG-13 rated.

First boat I went over 100 in was a 24 Skater that was here on Greenwood Lake since I was a teenager. After watching it tear up and down the lake for years and years it was like a dream come true when I got a chance to go for a ride in it.

My Dad and uncles water skiing just feet from guys fishing early Saturday mornings while wearing a 3 piece suit and carrying a briefcase was a pretty close 3rd. The look on the face of those guys was priceless.

Legend has it a few of those fishermen got mooned too.

Totalling one & living to tell the tale?

But seriously. Just being out on the water, free from (some) earthly bonds, is the coolest thing I do.

Granpappy Jack always liked to say it was good for the soul.

Severalyear ago on fathers day an older guy was pushing a mini boat outtoward deeper water . He asked his wife to start the boat and to putit in reverse to help move the boat back . She had been drinking andslammed it in reverse , then to compensate she slammed it forward the boat jumped forward and spun over the man 3 times . The guy washurt bad .
Therewere three guys there who saw this . Two of the guys that were driving a drag boat pushed a kid off a paddel board and used it to float the victim to shore . The third guy in a tunnel boat ran hisboat on to the shore to call for help . When he got back the victimwas unresponsive . The tunnel boat guy kneeled next to the victim and began to administer resque breathing . Till the EMTs arrived . The tunnel boat guy stood up rather shaken and said to a silverhaired guy watching the ordeal “ Happy Fathers Day Mayor “ TheEMTs took the guy away live and now breathing. The Drag boat guys andthe tunnel boat guy went over to the tunnel boat beached high and dryand dragged it back into the water. The guy had run his tunnel boatinto Mayor Rich Crotty`s yard
Itwas not some ski boat guys or jet ski guys or pontoon boat peoplewho saved this guy it was some fast boat guys . That is the coolestthing I have ever seen done on a boat. Fathers day Lake ConwayOrlando FLA

driving a boat across the grass and back into the water just like James Bond in Live and Let die
Where i did my apprenticeship was narrow grass lined canals and I was on the water everyday in somebodies boat, what a great time
