Ok, so I'm just better to get a Merc ET and be done with it? Thanks Tom, I take what you have to say as gospel.

I think the constant surfacing is the killer rather than holeshot and power loading
During holeshot and loading, the prop load is very even across the whole blade. When running surfaced, half the blade is loaded, the other half isnt, and its loading/unloading and an incredible rate. We've have all broken off a piece of metal by flexing it back and forth until it breaks and thats what is happening to a surfacing prop.
I say this because I have broken two props with my little stock 130 and it happened as soon as I started running them real high.

How is the handling when you break a blade off? Does it get wild or not? Is it a big issue or does it just vibrate?

Shakes like crazy if you just loose a blade. If you loose a blade and it takes the skeg with it things get interesting quick

Looks like you should be able to write beef off on your taxes lol I just took mine off I don't even know how it was still going that prop had been spinning on the hub so bad over the weekend I guess when I pulled a down boat on friday I had a little vibration looked at it no bends or cracks but it is actually a little out of line on the hub and had smeared the prop and thrust washer together bad

I have done some searching and I believe that your prop is NOT a hydromotive, but rather a Performance Propellers prop out of Soddy Daisy. You should be able to get a 14 1/2 x 34 hydromotive ET right down the street at propgods.
In reference to the Hydrostream Power Tour:

You HAVE to keep your props leading edges nick free. I saw that prop after it broke and it had a lot of little nicks. Rich Junker told me long ago to keep them clean. A nick is where the crack will start. Its easy to keep them cleaned up if you stay on top of it.

A buddy threw a blade then propshaft at 120 + and the boat went straight (Quartershot T - 3 ) but the prop broke the cav plate and chewed the mid up a bit .
