The centerhorn aftermarket TPI's were manual and hooked up to the throttle arm. The vacuum models had to be set by ohms at the butterfly. NEITHER are available anymore. Seems the vacuum model set at 25-35 ohms at idle but don't hold me to that. The old manual style just needed about the thickness of a playing card between the arm and plunger.

To this day, I still don't understand why the ECU and the TPS both need to read the same exact intake vacuum value. Seems redundant, no?
The Brucato PCU/ACU only has one MAP/vacuum hose hookup, and no separate TPS.'89 Hydrostream Vegas XT, '90 Merc 2.4 Bridgeport PCU EFI

Yea my issue would be first to find a vacuum model still working and rig it to my linkage as I was wanting to run a Laser set up. And use the A-37 box which is a vacuum controlled box... I might eventually end up with tony's ACU on it to hook to my laser injection box. Right now those wh20 carbs seem to run pretty good... I was just planning to end up with EFI... Also the set up with the laser injection will allow me to run my cowling as now I am now running carbs with a 1 inch spacer and no air box as it barely fits inside the cowling.... It's a sleeper rig that most think it is a 200... until I punch it at around 70mph and leave the 200's sitting there......... and so far it is getting better fuel mileage than a 200 EFI I was running on the boat.

I guess what I am saying is has it ever been done before? Or can an A-37 box be ran on a laser injection set up? I have experience with Laser injection and carbs and even the Motorola stuff on the newer 3.0L motors but not the A-37 type ecu.. I am also confused but maybe someone knows if I can do it or not? I know I could get a ACU from Tony and make this work but on the A-37 I haven's had any experience with one before. It had one multi pin cable to hook to the main harness but nothing else except a vacuum line. ???
