I get the feeling they are like my old bullet. Sure its not perfect and to pass a wakeboarding boat means getting airborn but dang thats half the fun too! I sure hope i get the option to keep it when i can finally upgrade

Adding an electric fuel pump to my Shadow. These fuel delivery problems on this old looper are gonna be a thing of the past. It's a holley red pump. 7 psi max so that shouldn't be too much for the carbs.

I went with a carter fuel pump for mine recently. No fuel delivery issues just couldnt keep the motor primed even during a day. Its nice that i dont even have to look at the primer bulb any more!

Allyd, you might want to put a fuel regulator to controll the pressure. I have the same set up on the laser and i have it set at 4 1/2 psi, so it doesn't bang the seats. Just my 2 cents.

I'll take it under advisement. I'm planning a pressure relief return to the tank tho, which may be enough. This pump's max pressure is only 7 psi. I'm just sick of my motor being starved for fuel. I've checked everything in the system, and everything is clear, no obstructions so, time for my engineering skills.

Nuthin' inhales fuel like Merc wh46 carbs @7+k rpm , and I have 'em regulated at 5.5 psi, with a 6 psi carter pump, 7 is too much for a stock motor, are you bypassing the stock pump ? Or just feeding it with the Holley ? Holley reds were supplied by Merc Racing on factory Bridgeports, but had to be regulated.

Nah, I was just going to feed the pump with the electric. Should I bypass it? Feeding the pump with the electric gives me a convenient return to tank option for pressure relief. I will regulate it with hose size. There's nothing wrong with my fuel pump. It just has alot to pull the fuel through with the water separator (which I have bypassed at the moment). I plan to locate the Holley near the tank to give the pump all the fuel it needs. My Holley pump isn't new either. It has some time on it. Before this, I've used it as a test pump and diagnostic tool.

Man, that is cool to watch. I can't wait until my LCB is done and ready. I understand it will not be set up to run like yours, but it will be set up to run like I want it and that will be a thrill for sure. Thanks for the post!
