Ya know, a clamp will work just FINE! Damn, same as that damn bolt that corroded in, can't get to it, and twice the clamping force! And easy to take off! Dave he's talking off. Filter wrenches should never been invented, IF the idiot putting it on did not grease/oil the seal. and like I do spin it on, snug a few times, back off and simple "SNUG IT UP finger tight"! Never a prob any my filter change. And the filter now with hot oil will expand and seal easy. Originally Posted by Dave Strong

Yep put it on with a wrench, hand tight with a nice dab of oil way to go I am screwed going to have to pull the engine so maybe a bbc instead of sbc
